Sienna & Isla

Photography is such an accessibly medium, everyone has a camera on their person at all times built into their phone. So what makes me stand out a little bit, over the past year i have been working hard and training with international and national award winning newborn photographers to continuously improve myself, i feel it is important to work with as many photographers as possible to learn, refine and better yourself. It retains good practice across your peers and also if you’re trying a new pose, such as I did here, It is safest to do it with an extra pair of hands who have done it before…. This is where my collaboration with Emma from Olivia Rose Studio was born, our mission to conquer the ‘Taco’ pose….

Queue a model call, I had an unbelievably gorgeous family who had just welcomed baby Sienna to their family. It was a pleasure to capture these treasured memories for them. First image is the formidable pose, up can see why i want to perfect it, it is so so sweet.

Boys, Boys, Boys……

Last week was our model casting call day for pre-school boys, I had the pleasure of shooting my son Harry & three of his buddies. We started out flying high up in the clouds in an aeroplane and then changed ‘location’ for some gorgeous portrait shots and finished up having a whizz in a vintage racing car.

If you would like one of these sessions for your little Chappy, there will be limited sessions available upon my return from Maternity leave in September. Don’t worry, I am planning some ballet sessions for the girls too, model casting call will be released in Late July / August  so to keep an eye out come and like our Facebook page, link at the bottom of this post 🙂

‘Bea’ and Holly

After a two and a half hour drive and McDonalds breakfast I arrived at Elli Cassidy’s gorgeous studio Near Louth, Lincoln. With a friendly smile she greeted me and my amazing day commenced. We were lucky enough to be able to work with two gorgeous little ladies, sleepy Holly and curious ‘Bea’ (who’s name has not officially been decided yet). These two little ladies happen to be cousins and born just two days apart! We started the day by by covering the essential greeting clients and settling the babies, then got straight into bean bag poses with beautiful Holly. In this bespoke 1:1 training session we covered safety, spotting and ensuring circulation got to all the little fingers and toes. Looking at poses and ways of wrapping. We then moved onto pretty little ‘Bea’ who was far too interested in what we were doing to fall asleep and captured these stunning awake shots that ooze character 🙂 Elli cast her expert eye over my recent work and advised be what I could tweak and then wrote a very long dream list of things i would love to get to expand the world of Little Hat!
